About Bwagamoyo to Jesus
DO YOU KNOW THIS?
Welcome to Bwagamoyo to JESUS Ministry, a dedicated praise and worship team based in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. Established in 2018, our ministry is composed of born-again Christians from diverse denominations who have come together with a singular purpose: to serve Jesus Christ through music and various activities that advance the Kingdom of God.
The name "Bwagamoyo to Jesus" draws its significance from the historical context of Bagamoyo, Tanzania, where during the era of the slave trade, captives were often told "Bwaga moyo wako," which translates to "lay down your heart," indicating there was no hope of returning. In this poignant historical backdrop, "Bwagamoyo to Jesus" translates to "lay down your heart to Jesus."
Our ministry embraces this profound meaning as a call to surrender our hearts completely to Jesus Christ. It signifies a commitment to relinquish all doubts, fears, and worldly attachments in full trust and devotion to Him. Through worship, service, and fellowship, we strive to embody this surrender, inviting others to join us in experiencing the transformative love and grace of our Savior.
At Bwagamoyo to JESUS, we believe in the transformative power of worship and the unity of believers. Through heartfelt praise and impactful service, we strive to glorify God and spread His love to our community and beyond. Our ministry serves as a beacon of faith, hope, and inspiration, welcoming all who seek to deepen their relationship with Christ and contribute meaningfully to His Kingdom.
Join us on this journey of faith as we continue to uplift hearts and minds through our music and ministry efforts. Together, let us exalt the name of Jesus and fulfill His calling in our lives and in the world around us.
